Austlift Cable Retractable Blocks

Type 2 and Type 3 Cable Retractable Blocks:

• Annual Inspection: Austlift Type 2 and Type 3 cable retractable blocks must be inspected annually (once a year) by a competent person.
• Brake and Shim Replacement: The brake and shim in Type 2 and Type 3 blocks need to be replaced every 2 years by a qualified service agent.

Type 2 Webbing Retractable Blocks:

• Inspection Frequency: Type 2 webbing retractable blocks should be inspected every 6 months by a competent person.
• Brake and Shim Replacement: There is no requirement to replace the shim or brake for Type 2 blocks, but they can be replaced by a service agent if necessary.
